AT&T (NYSE: T) Phone Company is once again challenging the imminent merger of Sprint Nextel (NYSE: S) with Clearwire (NYSE: CLWR), whose aim is to merge both companies’ WiMax assets in order to create a nationwide broadband wireless network. This merger would be huge for Wimax, estimating a deal worth 14. 5 billion dollars, and is promising to be a huge success. Just ask Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA), Time Warner (NYSE:TWX), Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), and Google (NASDAQ:GOOG), all companies who are currently backing this magnanimous merger. This union would be a grave threat to AT&T’s future success and longevity as a company, and therefore they are claiming that Sprint and Clearwire are “failing to make the required showings necessary for the commission’s review.” They are hoping that this new claim against Wimax would prohibit the FCC from approving its launch. AT&T clearly understands the importance of mass mergers, seeing as how the company exists today solely because of a mergence between their company and Bellsouth. This alliance has allowed AT&T to grow and reach profound heights in profit margins and overall global accessibility. The same could all too easily occur as a result of the coalition between Sprint and Clearwire, an outcome that obviously leaves AT&T worried.  And AT&T has more than one reason to be nervous about the Wimax wireless network. AT&T is currently working on their own 3G wireless technology, but it is still light years away from the technology currently being deployed by the Sprint and Clearwire union.  With advanced technologies and unparalleled support from large corporations such as Intel and Google, it is no surprise why AT&T is scared about its ineludible launch.

WiMax Finally Available… In 2008… In Baltimore

Posted in Wireless by admin. Published October 4th, 2008

For years and years we used to make fun of the press and analysts for either saying that WiMax existed when it did not or for predicting huge uptake before the tech was even ready. Plenty of companies offered wireless broadband, but it was not WiMax, no matter what they (or the press) called it. Back in 2003, we even made a pretty clear prediction: WiMax would not be ready for prime time until 2008, going against plenty of analysts who insisted it would be the big thing in 2004. And 2005. And 2006. And 2007. So, it’s nice to see Sprint squeeze in the launch of its WiMax Xohm service before the end of 2008, and make our prediction accurate. Of course, those analysts who predicted huge WiMax success stories in 2004 have moved on and have already declared WiMax dead, and now LTE is the huge success story to watch out for. Let’s wait and see on that one as well. There’s just something about wireless technologies that make the press and analysts assume that what is being talked about at the tech level will take the world by storm immediately. These things take time.

Keeping The International Prepaid Phone Card Clients Satisfied

Posted in International Calling Card by admin. Published September 5th, 2008

How many people in the world use international call cards as their main way of big distance and international communication? Well, about one billion users in the world have given their preference to international phone cards, but that’s not the fact to stop on. Customer retention is what would make these callers absolutely satisfied. Lots of people may use your product, but that’s a true thing if they keep on buying it quite often and use your service constantly. The result will be seen on the extent of products sold if the customers are satisfied.

Considering Africa, nearly ninety-one point seven % of its full mobile customer base buy call cards regularly on any occasion they wish to make a telephone call. The numbers seem somehow shocking, but it’s only for how convenient it is actually to make international and big distance calls applying a card with its PIN code and cheap minutes of communication. Getting to know that all you finally start to think of the reason those seven point three % are anyway applying billed service if they are offered an opportunity to try using international call cards.

In the cities of Latin America and the Caribbean call cards are chosen by eighty point three % of the users. It turns out then that four out of 5 people of this region understand the opportunities of calling with prepaid phone cards that offer a fixed amount of pleasantly costing time units. There’s no sense in arguing with the person who doesn’t show any desire to know of better economizing methods so let it be this way.

The consumers of East-European international phone cards just as those of UK calling cards choose smart ways of talking on the phone, so nearly seventy-three point three percent of them apply VoIP ratings when making calls. They happen to economize quite enough money as a benefit of defining their choice smartly. The great economizing secret presented by calling cards looks to be showed to the globe now. It doesn’t seem wise to ignore the world movement showing great benefits.

Speaking of Middle East we may mention that 66 % of this region’s total client base give their preference to prepaid call cards. Just as well as the consumers of US prepaid phone cards two-thirds of these people keep to the logical movement of applying international calling cards with the fixed amount of minutes to call. Why must then somebody worry of why that one out of three doesn’t realize all the possibilities of prepaid calling cards? It’s truly not necessary to convince every person of everything of course. But you can try, anyway.
